Reading Olympics Winners
Way to go Annaliese, Penny and Andrew!

Sunday, March 9, 2014

If you went to an iLearn meeting, checked in, signed the paperwork, your child will begin bringing their iPad home this week to be used only for homework assignments.  The assignments are app related, you should not see your child on the internet on any program this week unless they are on Thesaurus.com.  The only apps they should be using this week are Popplet, to finish their Hurricane vocabulary and, iMovie, to finish their movie on the story facts and questions. (The imovie will be worked on in class, so this really isn't homework unless they fall behind). You might be seeing them using Educreations, Showme, or Explain Everything, if they are working on late work for the story "Up in the Air" that was due last week.

Your child will be expected to come to school with a fully charged iPad EVERY day, so it will be a good idea if this BECOMES part of their daily homework.  Find one specific outlet in your home where the iPad is to be charged nightly, and we suggest it is not in your child's bedroom.  Just a tip, ipads charge faster in airplane mode.  As soon as I get the parent attendee list, iPads go home.  iPads WILL NOT be going home over spring break.  If you have any questions, please feel free to send me or Ms. Diehl an email.
