This week

 This is it folks, the final week!  This school year has flown by so quickly, I am not sure I stopped to smell the roses along the way!  That says one thing though, I totally enjoyed your children and working with them and you this year.  Thank you for a great year, and your support throughout, I really appreciate great parents !


Homework is light this week.  Please make sure your child continues to read this week, and turns in any missing work.  Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday evening!

End of Year Field Trip

The end of the year field trip(Enchanted Castle) flyer is coming home today. The cost of the trip is $20.00.  Money from fundraising greatly reduced the price per student!    Please return asap.

This Week

Tomorrow is the MAP reading test.  Please talk to your child about taking their time and doing their best.  Julian will be looking at these scores, as well as the ISATs,  to determine placement for your child.

Monday is LAST day for the Penny Challenge.

Science Quiz is Monday for  Eng/ Tresselt  and Tuesday for Balicki

Thursday is the Variables Test for Eng/Tresselt and Friday for Balicki

Chorus performs at the Irving Arts Festival at 7:15pm. on Thursday,
May 17th. Meet Ms. Tarabus wearing your Irving chorus tshirts by
7:00pm in the lunch room.

IMPORTANT information coming .....

Tomorrow you will be receiving  a copy of  a letter for 5^th grade parents regarding 6^th grade elective registration. 

 The deadline for registering is May 25.

We need a baby picture of your child for the 5th grade send off.  If you have not sent one in Mr. Packer needs one by Wednesday!

 There are many students that did not turn in permission slips and money for Tuesday's trip to the History Museum.  Please have your child bring that to school on Monday.

  The GTKY picnic on Thursday is at the Stevenson Center.  Please pack a brown bag lunch for that day.

National Fitness Week is this week.  Each day's event is listed below.

The reading MAP test has been changed for our class to Monday afternoon because of the field trip on Tuesday next week.  Please start speaking with your child about the importance of this test as Julian will be looking at the scores.
